Corporate Stress Management

We at Indigo house are looking to come into the work place and relive stress through massage, colour therapy and reiki healing.

We are looking to come into your company at lunch and break times and give employees 15 – 20 min sessions. We are hoping to progress into stress management workshops.   Lots of companies in London do this but there seems to be a gap in the market outside of the M25 which we hoping to fill!

We understand that stress in the work place is a big issue.  We have done research that shows that 13.8 million work days were lost last yr due to stress related absence.  We are looking to reduce that number for you.

Benefits of Holistic therapies on stress

Massage

Benefits to Employer

  • Demonstrates commitment & loyalty towards your staffs health & wellbeing

  • Boosts morale & motivation

  • Increases productivity, sales & overall efficiency by maximising your teams potential

  • Improves staff retention & saves money by reducing absenteeism & recruitment costs

Benefits to Employee

  • Relieves back, neck & shoulder tension, headaches & eye strain

  • Improves concentration & alleviates mental fatigue

  • Revitalises & boosts energy levels

  • Stimulates endorphins – your natural ‘feel good’ chemicals

‘In an increasingly busy business environment it is vital to ensure that employees have access to means by which stressors can be reduced in order to help keep productivity at the highest possible levels – after all, happy, healthy employees who can manage stress and anxiety are a company’s greatest assets.

Office Massage offers a superb solution to the stress and anxiety management issue – on-site head and shoulder massage. It has been clinically proven that head and shoulder massage reduces stress and anxiety. It also increases production of a set of ‘feel-good chemicals’ the endorphins and decreases production of the hormone associated with stress and anxiety – cortical.

The studies all seem to agree that the reduction in cortisol was found in both salivary and urinary cortisol measurements – which shows that the benefit of head and shoulder massage is not merely transitory, but that the benefits actually last ‘between sessions’. Again, according to the research, regular sessions seem to work best – with a once weekly appointment helping to maintain the very real benefits of head and shoulder massage.’

Office Massage Experience

Stress is synonymous with today’s fast thinking, fast moving lifestyle. The pressures faced in the working environment can leave employees feeling tired and tense but managing stress levels in the office has been proven to result in increased efficiency, creativity and productivity.

Our Practitioners will come to your office to massage away all the stresses and tensions of the working day. Performing Back, Neck & Shoulder

massages that incorporate elements of Japanese, Shiatsu, Thai & Indian Head massage techniques, the Team work without oil, through clothes to leave employees feeling de-stressed, re-energized and out of this world!!

The  Experience can assist in providing relief from headaches, neck & shoulder pain, backache and RSI, all brought about by long hours sitting at a desk and excessive stress. Employees will benefit from a renewed sense of wellbeing which will ultimately boost individual performance, increase overall team morale and potentially reduce staff turnover and absenteeism

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is derived from two words... AROMA meaning fragrance or smell and THERAPY meaning treatment.

Aromatherapy was used by the most ancient civilisations and is reputed to be in excess of 6,000 years old.

Aromatherapy utilises Essential Oils - obtained from petals, seeds, leaves, fruit, bark and roots of plants - all 100% natural.
Essential oils are drawn into the body by the skin and nose and are believed to offer both psychological and physiological benefits.

They can penetrate to a deep layer of our skin called the dermis, some are strongly antiseptic, others promote healthy cell growth and some stimulate or soothe the nervous system of the body. Essential oils can be used to help numerous conditions ( like day to day stress) or just to help you get a good night sleep.

Reiki

Studies have shown that alternative therapies such as Reiki can help promote clear thinking and productivity in individuals. This can be a valuable tool in the management of human resources, reducing days lost due to avoidable conditions. Making Reiki treatments available to your staff can demonstrate that you are taking reasonable steps to address work-related stress.

Reiki is a non-invasive energy healing system, which originated in Japan. It is especially beneficial for those leading busy demanding lives, and can help alleviate conditions associated with stress, such as headaches, muscle tension, anxiety, insomnia and panic related disorders.

Some benefits of Reiki in the workplace are:-

  • Reiki helps to reduce stress, worry and tension levels at work;

  • Reiki also helps people to increase their stress resilience levels;

  • Reiki helps people to improve their work performance and productivity levels;

  • Reiki also makes people feel increased job and life satisfaction;

  • Reiki brings a rise in personal motivation, unleashing people's inner talents and intelligence;

  • Reiki also helps improving morale and work relationships between employee and employer;

  • Reiki empowers people, giving them mind clarity and insight into relevant business matters;

  • Reiki aids a deep personal relaxation;

  • Reiki awakens people's creativity;

  • Reiki is a health booster, bringing general well-being to people;

  • Reiki also helps in cases of RSI (repetitive strain injury) and other muscular injuries;

  • Reiki helps people to recover from Jet-lag, burnout feeling and general tiredness;

In a Reiki treatment, the therapist positions their hands to focus healing to the areas commonly affected by stress, i.e. the head, neck and shoulders.

The client can be seated or lying down during the treatment and remains fully clothed.

After a Reiki treatment, clients feel more relaxed yet revitalised, with an increased sense of general well being

Colour Therapy

As with other holistic therapies, colour therapy can improve a range of physical and emotional conditions. Early results from research, is suggesting that colour therapy positively improves the treatment of depression, stress, anxiety, digestive disorders and headaches. When colour is brought into the work place it can be a very motivational tool, which will increase productivity, creativity and staff moral.

Colour therapy is easily transferred and applied into any environment - personal or professional, individuals or teams. It can be something as simple as painting a wall or wearing the right colour shirt, or more in-depth treatments such as light filtration and crystal influence.

Colour therapists believe that and colour therapy aims to balance the chakra and encourage the body to instigate the healing process. Colour therapy is based on energies and the principles of colour meanings.

·         Colour and light are forms of energy as together they are both made up of wavelengths and frequencies. All living things including humans emit frequencies.

·         There are seven colours in the spectrum; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, with each colour representing a different area of the body known as chakras. Certain colours are thought to represent the physical, emotional and spiritual states ranging from positive to negative.

Colour therapy works on harnessing the positive energy and associated colour and applying that to the individuals needs. Positivity can be reinforced and negativity can be dispelled.

The processes used by colour therapists are often employed in conjunction with other therapies such as aromatherapy, massage or reiki.

Warning: Stress can cause severe health problems and, in extreme cases, can cause death. While these stress management techniques have been shown to have a positive effect on reducing stress, they are for guidance only, and readers should take the advice of suitably qualified health professionals if they have any concerns over stress-related illnesses or if stress is causing significant or persistent unhappiness. Health professionals should also be consulted before any major change in diet or levels of exercise

If you, your employees or collegues suffer from at any time :

Absenteeisum.... back pain and head aches.... drop in productivity.... over whelming pressure from deadlines.... lethargy and low motivation.... interpersonal conflict.... poor communication....low moral

THEN STRESS HAS ALREADY GRIPPED YOUR WORK PLACE!!!!!
